098 Fathers Day 2009-06-21

daughter in her climbing helmet

Early this morning our daughter, Rose, called from Pennsylvania to say, Happy Fathers Day. What a good feeling it was to hear her voice. We wish that she could be with us as we travel through Colorado. But, her internship is also important. It is still good that she called.

We are so fortunate to have such a loving daughter.

To all you fathers and step-fathers, Happy Fathers Day to all of you. We wish all of you could join us climbing in Colorado.

We are headed to the San Juans tomorrow, June 22, we do not know when we will be able to update the blog again.

Check cloudhiking for recent updates for the Colorado trip. We are still on schedule even though we had to swap one off date for another.

Playing with the schedule is sort of like playing Yahtzee. We didn’t want to try Holy Cross today, because we were not confident that we could have made it with the weather conditions. If we had rolled for it and not made it, then we would have been in catch up mode. As it stands we just used up our "1’s."

Happy Father’s Days
