Metro to Mountain Journal

We went to the San Juans to try and get out of the snow. There still is a lot, but we have not really had to do a snow climb in the San Juans, so far (for five peaks). The Chicago Basin is next. The approach hike, because we have Jake, is sixteen miles. Egads, some rest day.

Nick should be in Chicago Basin when we arrive and is going to be with us for a while. His spirit should give us encouragement.
